How do you work efficiently with the Vanillaplan capacity plan?

by Ingrid Stalder Customer SuccessPublished on 4/15/2021

In the Vanillaplan capacity plan you always keep an overview of your ongoing projects. Our capacity plan offers two different models, which you can also use in combination. Projects can be shown either in utilisation levels or in absolute values. To find out which of these models best suits your company, we are happy to advise you personally.

The utilisation-level model is better suited to firms that mainly work on long-running projects. That is, projects that last several years and where events are mostly assigned as percentages. This utilisation-level model is also used by companies that mainly have to organise short assignments of only a few hours, or day-long assignments.

The absolute-value model is used in businesses whose projects and orders mostly run from a few days to several months.

The good thing about Vanillaplan is that you can work with both models at the same time. So utilisation levels for short assignments and very long-term projects, and absolute values for the rest, or the other way around.

We have created a white paper with a detailed explanation of the two capacity models; if you are interested, fill in our contact form with the message Capacity models. Otherwise we are also happy to advise you personally.
